Pre-marital Sex

·  In Junior High and High School, our bodies are developing and experiencing hormonal changes. Interest in the opposite sex tends to increase drastically.

·  This interest is often encouraged and fueled by friends and an overly sexualized culture.

·  While attraction to the opposite sex is natural, the actual act of sex has been designed for the confines of marriage.

 ·  When you engage in sexual relations with another person, a spiritual connection takes place that is meant only for married couples.

·   Without healing and restoration, a past of sexual immorality makes spiritual unity with your future spouse difficult.

 ·  Other consequences include emotional hurt, addictions and sexually transmitted diseases.

 ·  Of course, the most significant consequence is the negative impact it has upon a person’s right standing and peaceful connection with
God.

 ·  Biblical illustrations of sex indicate that it is a union used to produce godly offspring and a union to be enjoyed by spouses.

 ·  Within the confines of marriage, it is a beautiful union that represents God’s union with the church.
