Body Image
You are a uniquely designed, special creation of God’s. There is no one else in all the world just like you. You are perfect to fulfill the tasks God has for you. God has equipped you with all you need to accomplish the master plan He has for your life.
Body features change. People gain weight, lose weight, acquire wrinkles, lose acne, lose hair, grow hair, have skin blemishes, and other distinguishing characteristics. This may be the result of genetics, age, diet, injury, or exercise. Being that body image changes, we should never allow our self esteem or sense of self worth to be affected by feelings of inadequacy regarding our body image.
Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit if we confess Jesus as Leader of our lives and seek to live by His commandments. What a privilege and responsibility to serve as houses for the greatest Being in all creation. As such, we should avoid using our bodies for sin and be good stewards over our bodies by getting proper nourishment, regular exercise, and sufficient rest.
Regardless of how we look, our sense of self should be based on the fact that we are created and loved by God. He loves us so much that He allowed His only begotten Son to suffer and take on the punishment for our sins.
