Surely Life is About More Than This
As we move into young adulthood, sometimes we find ourselves in regular routines that appear void of meaning and purpose. During these periods the question might arise as to whether there is more to life than you are
presently experiencing.
Daily routines may vary but a common routine may look something like the following:
1. Wake up.
2. Prepare for work
3. Drive to work
4. Work
5. Drive home from work
6. Exercise
7. Perform household chores
8.Sleep
9. Repeat the same cycle the following day
What may be missing from your daily routine is service to God and others. The Bible tells us to seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things will be added. Our responsibility is to give God and his direction priority in our lives.
The Bible also instructs believers to present themselves as living sacrifices to God. We are called to serve God and serve others.
Now, this is not to say that God does not want us to enjoy ourselves. Rather, these scriptures highlight the importance of not neglecting God and service to others in the process of going about our daily routines.
Pray about what God would have you do with your life. Incorporate service into your routine and you may find the meaning in life you desire.
