Drugs and Alcohol
If we are Christians, our bodies are temples of God. This means that the Spirit of God literally dwells within us.
As a result, we should take care of our bodies and treat them with the respect due dwellings of a holy God.
Drugs and alcohol negatively affect the body. They prevent the body from performing at its best and may prevent you from living the length of service God has for you on earth.
These agents also affect the mind, emotions and behavior.
Use of drugs and alcohol often contributes to domestic violence, broken families, depression, cycles of guilt and a host of other problems outside of God’s will for our lives.
These substances are also often highly addictive. It can take years to overcome the desire for them even after trying them just one time.
Drugs not only affect the user but everyone who loves or cares for that person.
These substances at a minimum prevent you from operating at God’s best. At a maximum, they may
result in loss of life.
