Service in the Church
Under the most ideal circumstances, individuals would begin working in a local church at an early change and continue throughout their lives.
The local church is a portion of the family of God. If we are not all participating and lending our God given gifts and talents to the family, then the family of believers is not operating at its full potential.
We have all been endowed with special abilities and talents. In using them, we help unbelievers come to the faith, believers grow, and are able to serve those in need.
There are a variety of needs within local church bodies. Even roles that may be less prestigious such as cleaning and lawn care are very important. Imagine showing up to church on Sunday to a dirty sanctuary or an overgrown lawn. Your worship experience would likely be negatively impacted.
So make an effort to identify the needs in your local church and make yourself available for service. Just as the human body needs each limb to function at its best, the body of Christ needs you to realize its potential.

(*27 - All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it. )
Romans 12:1
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
James 2:17
So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
